From the bullring arena you are brought along to the historic centre of Valencia. Here we walk past the most important historical buildings in the city, without listing all of their construction dates.
You hear interesting and fun stories about Valencia’s past and discover more about gay life in Valencia.
During the walk we will also taste a traditional Valencian drink (non-alcoholic) and take a short break during which you are offered a typical Valencia cocktail (or a drink of your own choosing) with a tapas.
As this is a private tour, it is possible to customize it to your own wishes. If you’d like to climb the tower of the Cathedral, visit the Silk Market or taste some tapas in one of the best tapas bars in the historic centre, then you should let us know and we’ll adapt the tour to your wishes.
Bullring of Valencia/Plaça de bous (Google Map)
Between 10:30 – 17:00, in consultation
We depart from Plaza de Torros (the neoclassical bullring). We can also pick you up at your hotel/apartment or at a specified location.
Walk inside station València-Nord, a modernist jewel of the city, featuring traditional elements of the local culture.
Admire the beautiful buildings surrounding it on all sides, and see the benches in the LGBTI colors.
Visit the Mercado Central, a masterpiece of modernist architecture, to get a taste of the local way of life.
Walk over to Plaça del Tossal, a square full of local cafes and bars.
While walking along the narrow and tiny streets in the old quarter, we will see one of the old city wall’s remaining.
Discover the best attractions in El Carmen area, like the Gothic Cloister, Casa de Los Gatos. Be amazed by the giant traditional wooden statues and carts in the Museum of Rocks.
See the imposing 14th-century Torres de Serranos overlooks the former bed of the Río Turia. The largest of their kind in Europe.
Admire the Cathedral of Valencia, with an impressive mix of architectural styles.
Plaça Redona, one of the smallest squares in the city.
Admire the Rococo and neoclassical architecture of this historic palace.
Visit the Central Post Office (Edificio de Correos). Not only the outside of this building looks impressive (different styles, for example Classicism, Modernism and Baroc), also the inside is definitely worth to see.
We finish the tour at Plaza de Torres.
René is awesome. He listens to your needs and thoughts about the tour and make a good company as a guide and as a person.
The 3-hours tour at Valencia center was such a good experience. Not only that I learned about Valencia as a city, I learnt about lgbt community life, social events and more.
In the tour we drank a cup of wine to cheer up and it was wonderful. Thanks René!
All three of the tours (Tapas Experience, Private City Walk and Nightlife) that we took were fantastic. Rene was very knowledgeable and fluent in English. He was able to show us Valencia as a native. I would highly recommend Gay Valencia Tours.
Please contact us in advance if you would like to book a tour. Due to changing circumstances related to other work, we have very limited time to conduct tours.
